1. What are Glyconutrients?

Glyconutrients are simply food which is not readily available in the modern-day food chain. We are no longer hunter-gatherers of the land, and as a result, we don't have direct access to these essential sugars which are available from plants, roots, seeds, grains, barks, shrubs, and fungus. The few sugars that are found in the food chain are usually processed out of foods. Glyconutrients are plant saccharides which are necessary for cell-to-cell communication. They include mannose, galactose, fucose, xylose, glucose, N-acetylneuraminic acid, N-acetylglucosamine, and N-acetylgalactosamine. These biological sugars facilitate the need to send and translate commands from one cell to another throughout your body's 600 trillion cells. Getting the vital sugars in the carbohydrate complex blend provides your body with a ready supply of raw materials for coding. No combination of vitamins, minerals, amino acids or herbals can take their place.

2. Why doesn’t my doctor know about Glyconutrients?

Most physicians attended medical school before this technology came about. It wasn't until 1996 that one of the primary medical textbooks, Harper's Biochemistry, published a chapter on Glyconutrients. Although there are several thousand articles published daily on Glycobiology, it is still not common knowledge. Physicians are swamped with new information which is primarily from pharmaceutical companies. In effect, Glyconutrients are Nutraceuticals. 3. What does the term “nutraceuticals” mean?

The term was coined by the Foundation for Innovation in Medicine in 1991and is defined as "any substance that may be considered a food or part of a food and provides medical or health benefits, including the prevention and treatment of disease. Nutraceuticals may be naturally nutrient-rich or medicinally active food, such as garlic or soybeans, or it may be a specific component of a food, such as the omega-3 fish oil that can be derived from salmon and other cold-water fish.

4. How long before I can expect results from taking GlycoEssential 7 or Premier 8?

It depends on what your particular health concerns are, diet, water consumption, exercise, stress levels, etc. Many people begin noticing results within three weeks and for others it may take 3 to 6 months or even longer. Many people take GlycoEssential 7 or Premier 8 for preventative purposes and are pleased with the added results that they experience.

5. Are glyconutrient supplements (GlycoEssential 7 & Premier 8) safe to take?

If you have a health concern and are taking medication under the care of a doctor, we highly recommend that you consult your doctor before taking glyconutrients. In some cases the glyconutrients ability to support the immune system, leads to the prescription drugs needing to be reduced. Ask your doctor to monitor your drugs to see if or when you might need to reduce their dosage.

6. How do I take GlycoEssential 7 & Premier 8?

Stir or blend well with 6-ounces of organic fruit juice or organic, freshly juiced vegetables, or mixed into healthy smoothies. Do not cook or microwave the glyconutrients, because they will breakdown / be destroyed. In fact, if you have a microwave throw it out or destroy it as it is not conducive to good health.

7. How often do I take GlycoEssential 7 or Premier 8?

To support health and immune system function take _ (one/half) scoop 1 (one) time daily or as recommended by your healthcare professional. For maximum support we suggest a loading phase of at least 3-6 months of taking 1 (one) scoop 2 (two) times daily. Up to 4 scoops may be taken daily for advanced health concerns. Be sure to take last dose before 4:00 p.m.

8. How much does each scoop contain?

Each scoop (provided in jar) of GlycoEssential 7 provides 3 grams of Optimum Mushroom Complex plus 1 gram of glyconutrient blend. Each scoop of Premier 8 provides 4 grams of the 8  essential glyconutrients. Each jar taken at 1 (one) scoop daily provides one month of product.

9. How should I store GlycoEssential 7 & Premier 8?

Keep bottle tightly closed. Open only to scoop out product then replace lid immediately. Store in a cool, dry place. Shelf life is approximately 18 months.

10. Can I take glyconutrients with my other supplements?

Glyconutrients will not interfere with your other supplements. Actually, they may enhance the results you get from your other supplements.

11. Can I give glyconutrients to my child?

Yes, glyconutrients are entirely safe, even for children.

12. I eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Shouldn't they furnish enough glyconutrients?

Fresh, organic fruits and vegetables are very necessary for optimum health. However, even though raw fresh fruits and vegetables are typically the most nutrient-rich foods available, you can still benefit from supplemental glyconutrients. Compared with data collected as recently as 30 years ago, some fresh fruits and vegetables now provide lower levels of some nutrients, even organically grown fruits and vegetables. This deficiency is due to nutrient depleted soil and water conditions.

13. I have heard that Mushroom Therapy is being used by people with Cancer to help offset the side effects of Chemo-therapy and Radiation. Is it helpful for this?

Our OMC (Optimum Mushroom Complex) is a dietary supplement only and despite of what you may have heard on the TV, radio or read in the medical journals GlycoEssential 7 with OMC is not being promoted as a Cancer treatment. Regardless of how GlycoEssential 7 is being used in other countries, in America, there are strong federal laws (FDA) which prohibit a manufacturer from even suggesting that GlycoEssential 7 may be a helpful supplement for people undergoing cancer treatment. 14. Is Optimal Mushroom Complex (OMC) made in America?

Yes, our OMC is made in America, using only USDA Certified Organic materials. This is the only product of its kind which is made in America. All the others medicinal mushroom derived immune supplements are imported from the Orient. While we have nothing against imported Chinese or Japanese supplements, wouldn't you rather have an all organic, certified American Made product?

15. I see other companies claiming that their products are made from hot water extracted mushrooms. Is OMC made from hot water extracts?

There are some companies selling their products on the internet which would have you believe there is a special process called "Hot Water Extraction". This is a great marketing claim, but really, the term "Hot Water Extract" is the same as saying 'mushroom tea'. Our OMC is made by a far more complex proprietary process than just a simple hot water extract. While the purification process used with OMC does start with a hot water extraction, we then takes it through several further steps to separate, concentrate and purify the bioactive polysaccharide compounds, which are then dried, analyzed for purity, and finally, encapsulated. It takes over 250 pounds of six different types of fresh medicinal mushrooms to make 1 pound of finished OMC. The finished OMC contains more than 200 different types of clinically-proven polysaccharide immune modulators.

16. What about Arabinoxylane, the compound that is found in MGN3? Does your OMC contain this polysaccharide?

Yes. OMC contains not only Arabinoxylane, but also Lentinan, Grifolan (Dr. Nanba's original Maitake D-Fraction), PSK and PSP, and Active Hemicellulose Correlated Compound (AHCC). There is about three times more Arabinoxylane in each dose of OCM than there is in MGN3, and four times more AHCC than in the leading brand.

17. I see so many supplements that make claims based upon test tube studies or animal trials. Has OMC been clinically tested on humans, and is it patented or otherwise unique?

Yes. OMC is a completely unique and new type of dietary supplement. It has been tested in a number of different Clinical Trials. It has been tested as an adjunct to conventional therapy for cancer, for Hepatitis B, for Alcoholic liver disease and it is presently being tested for HIV and for Hepatitis C. 18. I see there are some websites talking about the "new" MGN-3, Bio-Bran. Is OMC made from bran like MGN-3 is?

Yes and no. OMC is similar to MGN-3 and AHCC in that it is formulated through an enzymatically activated process whereby complex cross-linked polysaccharides from vegetable sources are converted to biologically active immunomodulators composed of simpler sugars such as arabinose and xylose. This is what MGN-3 is, a combination of these two sugars in chain formation, called Arabinoxylane. OMC does contains simple polysaccharides like Arabinoxylane, but it also contains much more complex polysaccharides like the cross-linked beta mannans and beta-glucans, as well as hetero-polysaccharides which combine both alpha- and beta- bound monosaccharides into the same molecule. These complex polysaccharide compounds are not found in the earlier bran-based supplements like MGN-3 and AHCC. This is probably why OMC shows such a greater range of immuno-modulation bioactivity than MGN-3 and other bran based supplements.

19. Does Premier 8 contain OCM (Optimum Mushroom Complex)?

No, Premier 8 contains the eight essential glyconutrients only. We highly suggest Premier 8 for those wanting to use glyconutrients for preventative measures or who are healthy but want to keep their immune system supported.

20. I have heard and read that people have been cured of various diseases using Glyconutrients?

First of all there is no one magic bullet for any type of disease and if someone tells you that one supplement, one modality or one anything will cure a particular disease then that should be a huge red flag to you because it is not the truth, but hype. According to medical science there is no cure for most disease. However, God has placed healing mechanisms into the body that will help the body to repair and heal on its own, if and when the body is treated correctly. The immune system is one of those mechanisms put in place by God in order to help the body recognize pathogens and take them out of the body quickly. For many people glyconutrients and medicinal mushrooms could be a “piece” to their healing puzzle.

21. What is the difference between GlycoEssential 7 and Premier 8 compared to the other Glyconutrient products on the market?

We are asked this question almost every day. The simple answer is that Premier 8 contains all eight essential glyconutrients and GlycoEssential 7 contains seven glyconutrients plus Optimum Mushroom Complex (OMC). GlycoEssential 7 with OMC does not contain glucose. We do not have up-lines or down-lines to pay so our price is much less and you do not have to sign-up nor be on a monthly autoship program to get a reduced price. 22. Does GlycoEssential 7 and Premier 8 come in capsules?

Both products come in a 120-gram jar and both products are in powder form. We do not offer the products in capsules at this time.

23. Why do you use organic brown rice starch (flour) as filler? Can’t you offer just pure Glyconutrients and mushrooms?

While it would be nice to not need a filler, organic brown rice is used so that the sugars do not stick together. There is a ton of info on the internet about the benefits of organic brown rice all of which are available to those who want to research it out. Organic brown rice is an excellent source of manganese, and a good source of the minerals selenium and magnesium. Manganese is a critical component of a very important antioxidant enzyme called superoxide dismutase. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is found exclusively inside the body's mitochondria (the oxygen-based energy factories inside most of our cells) where it provides protection against damage from the free radicals produced during energy production. The organic brown rice is actually a wonderful additive for glyconutrients.

24. Are there any side-effects from taking Glyconutrients?

For some people, loose bowel movements or soft stools are normal when using glyconutrients, particularly when first beginning. Mild cramping and gas, which usually subside within a few days to a few weeks, are also normal side effects for some people. If you experience these effects, cut back on your intake or take the glyconutrients only with meals. Some research suggests that supplementing with Vitamin C will curtail these digestive problems. If problems persist discontinue use and see your healthcare professional. However, most people experience no side-effects at all.

25. Is this product affiliated with multi-level marketing (MLM)?

26. Does either product contain excipients, fillers or chemicals?
